When we bought our home earlier this year, it came with these rather large stone lions (roar!). They’re too heavy to move, so why not have fun with them! (If you recall, an anonymous crafter decorated them for Easter earlier this year).
A close friend double-dog dared me to continue to decorate them seasonally. So, not to disappoint, here are our lion’s Halloween costumes.
First, the witch is simply a black sheer held by a bungee cord, and hat held on with twine.
The ghost costume was also made with a curtain panel and is held together with twine and those clampy-style paper clips (not sure what they’re called). I just used a sharpie to color in the eyes.
So while these were very simple (so as to match my challenged crafting skills) I think they’re rather charming! And I do plan on continuing this tradition. Any Thanksgiving Day ideas?
How have you spooked out your walkway for Halloween?
