This year I’m having a teen Halloween party at our home. While there are tons of things my daughter has included in her “ghoulish list,” this Mom is about to drop the mic with some spooktacular ideas!

While I know the girls attending are not kids anymore, I’m pretty sure that they all like candy… and lots of it! So what better way to receive my daughter’s squad than with a big skeleton head full of sweet treats? This particular bowl, which I found at HomeGoods, looks perfect as an ornament but also is great for loads of candy.

I decorated this receiving area with some funky ceramic pumpkins (from HomeGoods) and of course some wall cardboard birds to make it feel more realistic.

Now, all roads lead to the dining table where I’ve collected some fun desserts (and more candy) for the crew. I bought a simple already frosted cake at my local grocery store (or you could buy a gourmet mix from HomeGoods but I was short on time) and added some cream-filled chocolate cookies (just the side with the cream) and to imitate an eye, some mini candy covered chocolate piece. These will get served over these small plates I also found at HomeGoods.

Another fun thing I know they will love are these skull shot glasses filled with chocolate pudding. These will make them scream with happiness.

My metal mortuary entourage is holding fruit punch but with a twist. Inside this pumpkin dispenser from HomeGoods, I’ve placed some creepy plastic animals for a hair-raising experience. I can only imagine their faces trying to figure out what are those gruesome critters.

Now that skeletons are out of the closet and inside some lanterns, and that bats are coping with the house mouse, I dare to say that I’m dying for this party to start! Are you ready for Halloween too? I know Bella is!
